What is the difference between the pool floats and the poolside loungers?

Both our pool floats and poolside loungers are made from the same premium UV-resistant Olefin fabric - the only difference is the mesh drainage system on our pool floats.

This allows water to flow freely in and out as you move in the pool. Poolside loungers do not have this drainage system and are designed for use on the deck, patio or grass beside the pool, not in the water.

Are the pool floats waterproof?

Our pool floats are water-resistant rather than fully waterproof - the same as our outdoor bean bag range.

The mesh drainage system allows water to drain freely rather than pooling inside the float. They are designed to be used in calm pool water and perform beautifully in that environment.

Do the pool floats come with filling?

All pool floats are sold as covers only and do not include filling. We recommend purchasing bean bag filling from your local major retailer.

Are the pool floats suitable for the ocean?

No - our pool floats are designed for use in calm, still water such as swimming pools.

We do not recommend using them in the ocean, rivers or any body of water with currents, waves or tides.

How do I care for my pool float?

Rinse the cover with fresh water after each use to remove chlorine and salt. Remove the cover and allow both the cover and the bean bag filling to dry completely before storing - this prevents mould and mildew.

We recommend storing your pool float indoors or undercover when not in use.

Care instructions are identical to our outdoor bean bag range, with the additional step of rinsing after pool use.

Are pool floats safe for children?

Pool floats are not a toy. Adult supervision is required at all times when pool floats are in use.

They are not a substitute for proper swimming aids or flotation devices and should never be used as such.

Not recommended for children under 3 years of age.

Can I leave my pool float in the pool year-round?

We recommend removing your pool float from the pool when not in use. P

rolonged exposure to chlorinated water, UV and the elements will affect the longevity of both the cover and the filling.

Removing it when not in use and storing it dry will significantly extend the life of your float.

What filling should I use in my pool float?

We recommend using standard bean bag filling - EPS (expanded polystyrene) beads - available from major retailers.

Do NOT use foam, fabric scraps or any filling that absorbs water and does not dry quickly.
