Are Mooi Living outdoor bean bags waterproof?
They are water-resistant rather than fully waterproof. The Olefin fabric repels moisture and dries quickly, making them ideal for outdoor use. We recommend bringing them inside or using a cover during extended heavy rain or overnight storage.
What do do if your outdoor bean bag gets caught in the rain?
The secret to a bean bag that lasts? Air it out. No outdoor bean bag - ours included - is 100% watertight at the zips and seams, and that's actually fine.
The trick is knowing what to do when it gets wet: remove the cover, wash it and let the mesh bag and beans dry fully in the sunshine before reassembling. Sun-dried beans, fresh cover - it's practically brand new again.
How do I clean my outdoor bean bag?
Simply wipe down with a damp cloth for everyday cleaning, or remove the cover and place in the wash on a gentle cold cycle. The covers are designed to dry quickly in the sun.
Can I leave my outdoor bean bag outside year-round?
Our bean bags are designed to handle Australian outdoor conditions and UV exposure. For maximum longevity we recommend storing them undercover or using a furniture cover during extended periods of heavy rain or when not in use.

Do your outdoor bean bags come with filling?
Our bean bags are sold as covers only and do not include filling. This is actually great news for you - bean bag filling is bulky and heavy, which would make international and interstate freight costs astronomical and push the price up significantly.
Instead, we recommend picking up your filling from a local major retailer such as Kmart, Spotlight, or Big W, where it's readily available and affordable.
